I felt the two historical models (System V and BSD) were overkill for our common desktop-machine setup. GoboLinux uses a simpler system: two scripts, Init and Done, do most of the job. Additional scripts, such as Multi and Single, take care of the runlevels. These files are simply sequences of commands, prepended by the word Exec and a message string. If you would like to see support for other desktop environments, possibly wayland based, feel free to contribute this work. There are some recipes available for compiling sway. This is doable. Feel free to ask for support.
We also have recipes for XFCE but we do not recommend fiddling with these if you’re a beginner. Unless you know exactly what you are getting into.</description></item></channel></rss>
